Hi! I’m Max Hixon

I’m a Guitarist based in landlocked Shropshire, the natural place to make Surf Rock!

My music has led to a wide range of experiences, from travelling the world performing aboard cruise ships, to hearing my work featured on TV shows. I’ve also taught 600+ students online and worked behind the scenes in music publishing.

I play Guitar, Bass (plus Double Bass) and Ukulele. I self produce, mix and master my music. While I have created a number of releases with vocals, my main project is creating instrumental music.

"Captures the spirit of early rock and roll magic" - Jim Año

For me writing and recording a piece music is like a creative puzzle for me to complete. I enjoy the process and seeing how my initial ideas evolve.

While instrumental music is now my main focus, I have also written songs which include “Lovesick Loverboy” known for its use in Slackers Carts of Glory, “Let Me Dream” and “Echoes of The Past”.
